Metsä Board sells Data Copy brand to Antalis

Metsä Board has today announced that it is divesting the Data Copy brand and all its associated proprietary materials to Antalis International, in a deal that sees Antalis International take over the Data Copy brand from 1st July, 2015.

The deal between Metsä Board and Antalis International is based on Metsä Board's strategy to focus on paperboard. The company announced in December 2014 its plans to discontinue the majority of paper production at the Husum mill in Sweden by the end of 2015. Uncoated fine paper business reel production will, however, continue until linerboard sales volumes from the mill have grown to full capacity, targeted for the end of 2017 at the latest.

The Data Copy brand was founded in 1983 and has built a reputation as a trusted brand known for its premium quality and sustainability. Over the years, many innovations and market firsts have been introduced for this brand, for example, easy opening packaging and Grab&Go soft carry handles.
