Metsä Board shows its sustainable and safe paperboards at PLMA Amsterdam

Hall 8 stand 3000

Metsä Board, part of Metsä Group, will be presenting its sustainable paperboards at PLMA - World Private Label 2016, in Amsterdam on 24-25 May. The lightweight, but strong folding boxboards and white linerboards suit perfectly consumer goods, retail-ready packaging and food service applications and can be used in all sales channels.

Thanks to lightweighting, Metsä Board’s paperboards have a lower environmental impact. They consume less energy, water and raw material, decrease transport weights and finally, produce less waste. In addition the boards are also safe for direct food contact.

Juha Lounasvaara, Account Director at Metsä Board states: “It is becoming increasingly clear that today’s consumers pay more attention to the ethicality, ecology and safety of the products they choose to buy. By using a paperboard made of pure fresh forest fibres retailers and consumer goods producers can demonstrate their intention to meet these key consumer needs.”

All Metsä Board’s paperboards are made from a renewable and recyclable resource – fresh
forest fibres – grown in sustainably managed northern European forests. The fibres are of
known origin and all the raw materials used in our manufacturing processes can be traced
to source.
