Carta Elega and Carta Solida - a natural Canvas for Cosmetic Art

M-real shows sustainable beautycare boards at Luxe Pack 2010 

M-real Consumer Packaging, Europe’s leading supplier of high quality folding boxboards presented its two main brands dedicated to beautycare at Luxe Pack 2010 - Carta Elega and Carta Solida.  M-real Speciality Papers also presented the classic cast coated board and paper range CHROMOLUX and the new ZANLABEL range of premium double coated label papers, which guarantees superior printing and finishing results, and excellent runnability on bottling lines.

Both Carta Elega and Carta Solida are sustainable and lightweight beautycare brands offering cost effectiveness, together with excellent surface properties and strength equal to that of heavier grades.  These two high quality primary wood fibre cartonboards combine tradition with respect for the environment.

By lightweighting boards, yields are increased and costs reduced throughout the packaging chain as well as promoting sustainability by consuming fewer resources, reducing transport volumes and producing less waste at the end of the packaging’s life.  Lightweight boards have been a major innovation by M-real, to ensure they offer the same properties of stiffness and bulk as heavier conventional grades, but in lower substances.  This means they can be specified for luxury applications without losing the quality feel that customers find reassuring.

M-real Speciality Papers presents CHROMOLUX and a new label paper range

The classic cast coated brand, CHROMOLUX, was also displayed on the M-real stand.  The high glossy board and paper range contains a wealth of colours, surfaces and grammages, inspirational for luxury packaging applications.   M-real Speciality Papers also showed its new label paper range – Zanlabel gloss.  The label paper experts at M-real Zanders have developed this double coated label paper, available in both non-, light and wet-strength qualities, and in different weights and sizes.  As well as guaranteed superior printing and finishing results, Zanlabel gloss has already proved its excellent runnability on bottling lines.

Carta Elega
Carta Elega is a fully coated folding boxboard (GC1) with a coated back, recommended for fragrances, make-up products, toiletries, hair coloration products and other demanding packaging. Carta Elega offers superior visual smoothness with high brightness and equal bluish-white shade on both sides providing excellent print quality and a perfect top surface for foil lamination and special features. Available in 200-380 gsm.

Carta Solida
Carta Solida is a fully coated BCTMP board with a white back, recommended for fragrances, make-up products, toiletries and hygiene products. Its brilliant visual appearance enables attractive print results, and its high brightness leaves unprinted areas with a clean look. Carta Solida also holds excellent sensory properties thanks to its high purity. Available in 180-320 gsm.

CHROMOLUX
Chromolux is unique in the range of cast-coated papers, as it offers an unchallenged combination of sheen, smoothness, high quality and brilliance. It is recommended for fragrances, make-up products, luxury packaging and graphical applications and provides a multitude of design options for the optimum positioning of luxury brands.

The unique surface is ideal for all types of foil lamination while its cast coating technology is perfect for high quality finishing techniques such as blind and relief embossing. Chromolux is available in white and 36 colors, from 180 to 400 gsm.

ZANLABEL GLOSS
Zanlabel gloss is a range of double coated label papers, which guarantees superior printing and finishing results, and excellent runnability on bottling lines.
