CDP A List Climate 2016 logoMetsä Board was awarded a spot on CDP’s 2016 Climate A List, which includes the companies with the highest grade in actions to mitigate climate change. Only 9% of the thousands of companies participating in CDP’s climate change programme made it to the exclusive A List.

“Making it to the Climate A List is a public recognition of Metsä Board’s continuous work on growing our business sustainably – something our clients also expect from us. We have made great progress in water and energy efficiency, which translates into reduced fossil CO2 emissions as well as over-all cost efficiency,” says Anne Uusitalo, Sustainability Manager at Metsä Board.

Metsä Board’s fossil CO2 emissions have decreased by 42% since 2009, and in 2015, more than 80% of the fuels the company used were bio-based.
