World Book Day uses sustainable paperboard by Netsä Board

World Book Day uses sustainable paperboard for its ‘I’ll give you a story’ book

On 23 April, the UNESCO World Book Day, bookstores, publishers, libraries, schools and reading enthusiasts across Germany celebrate a large reading festival, a regional tradition since 1995.

Under the motto ‘I'll give you a story’, around a million children all over Germany receive a book as a gift from one of the 3,500 participating bookstores. This year it is the comic novel "Biber Undercover" by the author Rüdiger Bertram and the illustrator Timo Grubing. The covers of the book are made of Metsä Board’s sustainable fresh fibre paperboard.

“We are pleased that for the cover the publisher has chosen the ecological, lightweight certified paperboard MetsäBoard Prime FBB Bright, which also helps minimise carbon footprint. It was supplied by our merchant partner, Inapa Germany, tells Gabriel Goldmayer, Sales Director at Metsä Board and Frank Metzger, Sales Manager Publishing at Inapa Deutschland GmbH, proudly.
